Yacht Charter & Ibiza Luxury Boat Hire

Yacht Charter & Ibiza Luxury Boat Rentals

Ibiza is in the Mediterranean Sea, and is one of the Balearic Islands. The island has a stunning rugged coastline of 210km to explore. The sea around Ibiza has the perfect situation, features, climate and fully equipped facilities for sailing all year round. There are two kinds of luxury boat charters available on hire like the crew boats and bareboats. If you want the whole boat to yourself with ample peace and privacy, then it is best to cruise on a bareboat.

The beaches are of pure white sand, giving Ibiza the nickname ‘The White Isle.’ The Ibiza beaches are famous for their chilled out sands during the day and the club scene at night. The Posidonia Oceana fields are a human heritage site, as a plant grows here that is used to clean the waters. This area must be avoided!

Inland, the island is a world in miniature, with plenty of old towns, churches and museums to explore. The history of Ibiza stretches from prehistoric times to the Punic world, through the Islamic medieval age and traditional rural world. There are hidden spots of beauty inland; small country villages; almond, olive and carob trees enclosed by ancient walls, which can all be discovered on foot or by hiring a bike.

An Ibiza Yacht Charter Family Holiday
This paradise island is a perfect place to bring the family, with safe bathing waters, warm weather and beautiful beaches. There plentiful activities to keep children entertained, including kayaking, a mini train, quad biking, bicycles and water sports. Children will delight in watching typical island dances with traditional costumes and jewellery. These are performed in most town festivals and local holiday days. Most resorts and hotels will cater for families.

Ideal Ibiza Infrastructure
The island has an ideal infrastructure for yachting, with plenty of marinas and anchorages to choose from. There are three main ports and 11 small ports. The sailing season is from the beginning of April to the end of October, with July and August at peak season. These waters are perfect for crews with little sailing experience, or those who simply want to relax. There are few navigation challenges, the flows are low and have little tidal influence. The area between Ibiza and Formentera requires some caution due to rocks, but safe and reliable buoys are provided to track.

Exploring Ibiza

The sailing routes around the island are easy to follow, and give you plenty of chance to explore beaches, bays and coves. The southern coves of Cala Jondal and Es Xarco have gorgeous rocky beaches, turquoise waters and beach-bar restaurants. During July and August this area gets busy, so another option is Atlantis, with its clear water, stunning views and beneath a cliff face quarry. Port Roig is a natural port with excellent protection, a rocky and rugged port and limited development.

Ibiza is an ideal location for people with families to enjoy a tranquil sail, explore the beautiful coastline with few challenges to contend with. It is truly the perfect place for a holiday.
